The DELF Prim

The DELF Prim: My first diploma in French is intended for children learning French as a foreign language at the primary school level. It is the first step in the DELF/DALF series, and the certificates are awarded by the French Ministry of Education. The DELF Prim is a child's first diploma in French.

The DELF Prim offers children the opportunity to demonstrate their French language skills and to be rewarded for their hard work from the beginning of their French studies. The diploma accompanies the child's progress all the way through their school career.

This exam assesses all four language skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The certificate is awarded if the child obtains a passing score (50/100 points) in all of the skill areas. All exams last between 1 hour and 1 hour 55 minutes, depending on the level.

The DELF Prim is composed of independent certificates corresponding to the A1.1, A1 and A2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
