CARLA Conference

    1. The Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition (CARLA) presented the Sixth International Conference on Immersion and Dual Language Education: Connecting Research and Practice Across Contexts. The conference took place October 20–22, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, MN, USA. The Embassy of France was happy to participate in the CARLA conference and act as one of its sponsors. Please find a description of their presentation below.

      Karl Cogard and Fabrice Jaumont of the Embassy of France presented at the next CARLA Conference (October 20th - 22nd in Minneapolis, Minnesota) on the different types of French dual language and immersion programs in the United States. These programs take on many forms, responding to community needs, and often turn into state-led or grassroots initiatives.
