Position: Educational Project Manager

Where: Atlanta, United-States - Mission Culturelle et Universitaire Française aux États-Unis – French Embassy in the United-States

Length of internship: 4-6 months

Salary: To be determined dependent upon experience and availabilities

Preferred qualifications:
BA/Masters/ PhD in French/education/linguistics/second language acquisition/ sciences/computering

The objective of this internship is to support the five elementary public schools in the Atlanta area that have developed a French immersion program. In these schools, 50% of the teaching is done in French and 50% in English by following the curriculum of the State of Georgia. Teachers do not have adequate textbooks and they lack of didactic subjects in science and social studies (history, geography, government / civics, economics). Moreover, they do not always know where to look for the relevant resources.

The Educational Project Manager will be responsible for creating a French digital database for science and social studies (history, geography, government / civics, economics). This database will be adapted to the Georgia's curriculum and will be made available to teachers on an internet platform. The Educational Project Manager will work closely with the teachers to analyze their needs and he/she will be supervised by the head of educational cooperation at the Consulate General of France in Atlanta.
