Concours d'écriture : "Faites voyager vos histoires dans l’espace !"

L’astronaute français de l’Agence spatiale européenne (ESA) Thomas Pesquet a annoncé depuis l’espace, lundi 2 janvier 2017, le lancement d’un concours d’écriture autour du Petit Prince de Saint-Exupéry (www.missionproxima.com/concours-ecriture). Dans Le Petit Prince, le héros découvre 7 planètes et leurs 7 habitants ; l’astronaute invite les participants à imaginer une huitième planète et son habitant.

Professor Bernard Cerquiglini was in Atlanta and we had fun!

The distinguished linguistics professor, Dr. Bernard Cerquiglini addressed the essential interconnectivity and profound history that link the French and English languages. The lecture 'A joint history of the English and French languages' took place at Emory University and at the Alliance française in Atlanta. bernard Cerquiglini also gave his lecture at Aubrun University Dr. Cerquiglini is a scholar who he has taught in universities in the U.S. and Europe. You can also listen to his daily show on linguistics, Merci Professeur!, on the French channel TV5.

University of Georgia in Athens received the 2016 France on Campus Award!

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy, in partnership with Kickstarter, with support from NAFSA and APLU, have launched the second edition of the France on Campus Award under the patronage of film director Wes Anderson. This award aims at discovering, celebrating and supporting initiatives that explore France in new and creative ways. Check out the UGA project who won the award!

Lancement Stage pédagogique de courte durée (SPCD) et Stage intensif (BELC) 2017

Dans le cadre des SPCD (Stages Pédagogiques de Courte Durée), l'Ambassade de France attribuera 22 bourses pour suivre une formation courte en France durant l'été 2017 : 14 à destination des enseignants de français langue étrangère au Cavilam à Vichy, 6 aux enseignants de classes bilingues au CLA à Besançon, et 2 pour un stage intensif (BELC) de formation professionnelle à Nantes.
