Are you a Teacher?
We’re dedicated to building strong communities of French language and immersion teachers in the U.S.
Our educational web platform aims to provide information and facilitate exchange between teachers, parents, students and their communities and to provide a large range of resources for class activities. In addition to regional news and cultural event listings, frenchculture.org offers up-to-date information on teacher training programs and workshops, grants, school pairings, and academic contests.
Use the links in the "Teach" menu to the left to learn more about our professional development programs, school contests, and partnerships.
Use the links in the "Learn" menu to find out about our bilingual and immersion programs in the U.S., French courses in the U.S. and France, and afterschool programs.
With a frenchculture.org Educator’s account, teachers can participate in school contests with their classes, exchange ideas, lesson plans, videos, stories, and other resources with colleagues in the field, share school news, publish students artilces on the site and more.
Our regional monthly newsletters letters keep teachers, parents and students up-to-date on educational and cultural events as well as updates on school contests, teacher’s workshops and more.
The Teaching Assistant Program offers a unique opportunity for American citizens and permanent residents between the ages of 20 and 30 to spend 7 months in France with a salary, to master the French language through linguistic immersion and to gain valuable teaching experience.
The French TA program offers American schools the possibility of welcoming young French educators to serve as teaching assistants in their institutions. French TAs help students connect to the language and culture of France and the Francophone world in an exciting way.
